Bridging Storytelling and Strategy
Feature Writing & Editorial Projects
My writing experience spans feature articles, association updates, and editorial content within the agricultural industry. Through my work with the Charolais Journal, I’ve developed a strong understanding of how to communicate complex topics clearly and authentically, telling the story of agriculture with both accuracy and purpose.
AIJCA SHOW DEDICATEE & CONFERENCE HONOREE
Among my first published pieces, these articles highlight the individuals honored as the Show Dedicatee and Conference Honoree during the 2022 AIJCA Junior National Show & Leadership Conference. Written during my internship, they reflect the early development of my storytelling voice and my commitment to capturing the people and traditions that define the Charolais community.
20 YEARS OF BREED IMPROVEMENT ARTICLE
This feature celebrates a long-time Charolais breeder whose two decades of dedication and leadership have shaped the association’s progress in herd improvement and performance. The story focuses on legacy, innovation, and the impact of generational commitment within the breed.
GLENMARY FARM FEATURE STORY
This feature spotlights Glenmary Farm of West Virginia, a pioneering Charolais operation recognized for its diverse management, forward-thinking breeding practices, and lasting influence on the beef industry. The article honors both the family’s history and their continued contributions to the advancement of the breed.
Design & Print Media Contributions
As part of my role with the American-International Charolais Association, I contributed monthly to issues of the Charolais Journal through writing, editing, and layout coordination. These issues highlight my experience producing association, event, and membership-driven content in a professional livestock publication setting.
Photography & Visual Storytelling
Photography has become one of my favorite ways to tell stories, from portraits and families to the people and places that shape agriculture. While much of my livestock photography was produced through professional roles where ownership was retained by the organization, the samples below represent my personal work. With four years of experience and a growing focus on livestock and lifestyle photography, this is an area I’m continuing to develop and refine.
